"The Whale" is an Oscar winner movie directed by Darren Aronofsky and based on the 2012 play of the same name by Samuel D. Hunter. The film stars Brendan Fraser as Charlie, a reclusive and morbidly obese man who is trying to reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter.
The story follows Charlie as he deals with the aftermath of a tragedy that has left him isolated and alone. He begins reaching out to his daughter, played by actress Jessie Buckley, hoping to reconcile with her before it's too late.
The movie also stars Samantha Morton, Colin Firth, and Hong Chau in supporting roles. It is currently in post-production and is expected to be released sometime in 2022.
